Experienced, Organic Home, Integrative Vet Tech
One Litter, One Breeding Pair, One Adoption at a time. Growing Whiskers offers Integrative Tech Vet Experience within a loving, organic home. All puppies are dewormed, vaccinated and go home with a health certificate.
We are a 3rd generation family farm descendant sand entrepreneurs at heart. The thing is...we never had opportunities to adopt pets from homes, only pet stores. We did not find organic and integrative care for our pets in the way we wanted to experience an adoption. We have always been surrounded by animals, even rescuing. (Our sister business is Sitting Whiskers.) We adopted a young female Hava Tzu that would also rescue all animals and humans when given a chance. We carefully planned to have her have one litter and Growing Whiskers was born. Now we provide for other families what we had searched for....my son calls it "Hava Karma"...sharing the love that we have found with our Hava Tzu, "Jingles".
Happy, Healthy Bloodline
Our pups are a hybrid between a Havanese and Shih-tzu = Hava Tzu. We selected our breeding pair by temperament and health. Each pup and Momma are given the upmost attention and compassion. Prenatal Health is a priority. Growing Whiskers one puppy at a time is what we do.
A Furever Friend
Havanese are gentle, affectionate, and attached to their people like "Velcro". The Shih-Tzu is also considered a "Velcro" Dog. Be prepared to be cuddled!

Your Hava-Tzu will probably reach between 7-8 lbs, Tea Cup Pups are smaller, 4-5 lbs. You can certainly provide a wonderful home to your pup in a Condo or Apt, provided you to offer your pup fresh air and walks through out the day. Pups are used to being with their mom and siblings, so be sure to have someone check in on them through out your work day!
We will be sending you home with everything you will need the first night. We send a carrier, family blanket/toy, wee wee pads, along with their favorite food. Small hot water bottle or a mason jar filled with warm water, with a blanket over it will reassure your pup with the warmth he/she is used to with siblings. Be sure to make sure that your pup is safe when not supervised. Yard gates can be purchased inexpensively
online.
Slowly! Always, always provide supervision when introducing your furry baby to other pets or young children. Provide treats to the older pets to establish the experience as a positive one. Always feed pups separately from other pets. (This alleviates possible food aggression from developing with other pets.)
